At 12:57 am Lawrence County Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a house fire at 41 Lawrence 293.  Fire fighters arrived at 1:08 am and found the living room of the home engulfed in flames. A quick response by the Strawberry Fire  Department kept the fire from destroying the entire house.
Fire fighters reported that the fire was contained  to the living room of the home an even the Christmas gifts were spared. No injuries were reported in the fire. The cause of the fire is not known but the fire fighters did say that a wood burning stove was in use in the room.
