At 5:15pm on Wednesday the Lawrence County Dispatch received a request from the Randolph County Dispatch to escort an ambulance to the landing zone next to the Imboden Fire Station.
Imboden firemen established a landing zone and assisted with escorting the ambulance. The injured was a 72 year old male, injured in a horse riding accident on New Muddy Lane in Randolph County.
An Air-Evac Helicopter landed next to the fire station where firemen assisted with transferring the patient from the ambulance to the air unit. At 5:45 pm the air unit lifted off in route to an area hospital. The identity of the victim was not released.
