6th Grade Students, teachers and parent volunteers were joined by Game and Fish Officers Anthony Hawkins and Wade Spence at the Imboden fishing pond to participate in the 2012 Arkansas Game and Fish Fishing Derby.
Arkansas Game and Fish release around 200 catfish into the pond earlier in the week according to Office Wade Spence. Students spent much of Friday afternoon catching, measuring and releasing the fish back into the pond.
The trip has become an annual event for 6th graders at Sloan Hendrix Middle School. Today’s event was in conjunction with the “Mega Party†that was also held at the campus of Sloan Hendrix today. So it was a busy day for school officials, students and parents alike.
