Shortly before midnight on the 9th snow began to fall in our area with more snow reported to the south of Imboden.
Deputies of the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office worked through the night on minor accidents in the county. Road crews were dispatched overnight to keep bridges and roadways passable.
Although snow totals in our area were one inch or less, Sloan Hendrix Schools and the Imboden Area Charter School cancelled classes for Monday. Other church meetings were also rescheduled and the Bobbie Jean Memorial Library in Imboden was closed as well.
Roads in the area remain passable with some slick spots on bridges and secondary roads in the area. Cold tempatures will remain in the area for several days resulting in little melting of the snow.
