Floats, Antique Cars, Horses and Fire Trucks started lining up before 2pm in the Bobbie Jean Memorial Library parking lot, Imboden RV parking lot and the streets from 4th & Tabor to 5th and Hendrix.

The parade kicked off with Robert Stallings and family leading the Imboden Fire Department vehicles including Mayor Gene Dearen followed by the Black Rock and Ravenden Fire Departments, AET Ambulance, Dail’s Wrecker Service, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department and many more.

This year among the floats and antique cars were the many antique tractors brought by the Bono Antique Tractor Club. The parade stretched for over a mile in length and hundreds gathered on a cold and windy day. The parade route traveled the length on 4th street to #1 Greyhound Drive where it turned into the Sloan Hendrix campus. Once at the campus there was a “Live Nativity Scene” at the park, Santa posed for pictures in front of Imboden’s Engine 1 and a singing was held at the Bill McCurley Gym featuring the gospel group “Kindred Spirit”.

ImbodenLive would like to “Thank” the committee headed up by Joe Chappell including Gene Ponder, Buddy Williams, Bob McMillon and Doug Swink for bringing back the parade.
