The Bobbie Jean Memorial Library in Imboden, Arkansas would like to welcome all patrons to stop by to view our NEW Early Literacy Station. This all in one learning center is designed for children ages 2-10 years old and comes pre-loaded with over 60 developmental software programs, 30+ in english/30+ in spanish.
Some of the programs included are Reader Rabbit, Kidspiration, Krazy Art Room, Millie’ Math House, Peep Floats, Sammy’s Science House, Dora’s Magic Castle, Jumpstart, Musican, History Explorer, Sesame Street Let’s make a word, Britannica Student Encyclopedia, and much MORE! The current library favorite is the Britannica Encyclopedia program where you can even view video clips of some of the topics and Little Monster goes to School which tells an animated story that kids can read along with on the screen.
The Imboden Library is excited about this new feature to our library. The station is fully operational and ready to be accessed by our young patrons during normal library hours. Hours of Operation are as follows- Monday open from 10:00- 5:00, Tuesday, Thursday,and Friday open from 12:00-5:00, and Saturday 9:00-12:00. Parents are welcome to stop by and try out the station with their children.
This project was made possible through a grant from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services to the Arkansas State Library under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act.
