In loving memory of Robert Lynn Pratt, who passed away on August 31, 2026, we celebrate a life filled with generosity, dedication, and a profound love for family and community. Born on September 19, 1962, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, Robert was the beloved son of Dewell Herbert and Virl Josphine Pratt, who preceded him in death along with his brother, Julio (D.H. Jr.).
Robert was a devoted husband to Missy Pratt and a cherished father to his children: Adam (Cassie) Pratt, Magen (Eric) Elliott, Hali (Wesley) Hardage, Cara Beth (Dave) Bryant, and Bennett (Tisha) Dudley. He leaves behind a loving sister, Sue Whitmire, and six adored grandchildren: Saydee Pratt (Ethan), Reagan Elliott, Maya Elliott, Akkers Hardage, James Bryant, and Lowenn Virl Hardage, who will forever hold his memory in their hearts. Robert’s legacy extends to many other relatives and friends who were touched by his generous spirit.
A proud graduate of Clover Bend High School in 1980. Robert was a successful entrepreneur owning and running multiple businesses throughout his lifetime. Robert dedicated his life to the salvage car industry, taking over his father’s business, Pratt’s Auto Salvage, in 1983. Known for his hands-on approach, he was often seen covered in grease with a tool in hand, ready to tackle any challenge. His leadership and hard work earned him numerous awards in the industry. In the early 2000s, Robert and his son Adam formed a formidable team, continuing to build a successful
salvage yard business and forging lasting friendships within the industry.
In 2015, he purchased and ran the Julio’s Package store. He recently expanded his entrepreneurial spirit by opening Pratt’s Hardware Store in Hoxie this year. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Robert carried a deep passion for NASCAR. He and Adam teamed up for modified dirt track racing, with Robert running the pit crew and Adam behind the wheel of the P1 racecar. His love for his six grandchildren was boundless, and he ensured they always felt cherished no matter how he was spoiling them.
Robert was known for his selflessness and unwavering commitment to helping others. With a heart that knew no bounds, he was always ready to lend a helping hand or find a way to meet the needs of those around him. His generosity extended to the community, especially children, who were dear to his heart.
Funeral Service will be Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 3 P.M. in the Bryan Chapel with Ray Fultner officiating. Pallbearers will be Akkers Hardage, Tracy Henson, Jeremy Rothe, Keith Russell, James Allen Ward, Roger Anderson, Bruce Manning, Brandon Burnside, and Richard Tinker. Honorary Pallbearers are Allen Freer, Tyler Ward, Terry Spradlin, David Tribble, and the team at the Pratt’s Auto Salvage. Interment will follow in the Clover Bend Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday, 5 P.M. till 8 P.M. in the Bryan Chapel.
