Storms that developed around 2pm on Saturday July 11th left the City Of Black Rock with widespread damage.
Straight line winds and hail caused damage in the town including numerous trees down , damage to businesses, residential roof damage, damage to City Of Black Rock property and more.
Black Rock Mayor Wilson, Black Rock Police and Black Rock Fire immediately started assessing damage and clearing streets. Residences with damage were all checked while several streets were closed to traffic with the help of other law enforcement agencies and neighboring fire departments until debris could be removed.
Luckily, no injuries were reported as the storm moved through the area.
Utility companies were in the area until late in the evening attempting to restore power to those affected.
