On Friday July 3rd, 2026, a deputy with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office made a traffic stop on County Road. The deputy had first observed a male driving, then they had changed drivers to a female. During the traffic stop the deputy asked for permission to search and it was granted. During the search the deputy found a bottle of Kratom in the female’s purse. 33yr old Brittany Coleman of Poplar Bluff, Missouri was taken in to custody and transported to the Clay County Detention Center. She was booked in on the following charges: Possession of SCH I or II GT 2GM but LT 10GM. 33yr. old Brandon Ryan of Paragould was cited for Driving on Suspended License.
