Melody Kay Liscomb Rogers

Melody Kay Liscomb Rogers, a native of Hoxie, passed away on June 22, 2026, at the age of 59 at her home.
Born April 1, 1967, Melody was a graduate of Hoxie High School in 1985 and worked at Walmart in Walnut Ridge. She had one son, Colton Rogers, and two grandchildren. She also leaves behind two nephews, Blake and Blaine Liscomb; and one niece, Brianna Liscomb Walls; many great nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
Through Melodys life she enjoyed many things but the one that is set apart is the close friendship she held with Jennifer Abbott Wheeler. Melody and Jennifer started school together and for 59 years they were as close as sisters. Melody’s heart was a big one. She protected and loved animals. While working at T-Rex in Hoxie a few years ago, she saw a man mistreating a puppy, her heart took over and she rushed to protect the baby pup. Melody took the pup home and named him Barkley. She raised him and gave him a great life. Melody was also a wonderful lady who was a caregiver. After the passing of her brother, Charles Wayne Liscomb, Melody stayed with her sister-in-law LeAnn Liscomb and became her caregiver along with her dear friend Vicki Augustine.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Dean Liscomb; two brothers, Charles Wayne and Gary Allen Liscomb; a nephew, Gary Wayne Liscomb; and her aunt, Ruth Liscomb.
Melody Kay Liscomb Rogers will be forever missed and loved by those she has left behind.
