On June 17, 2026, officers from the Corning Police Department conducted a probation search at an apartment located on North Park Street. During the search, authorities discovered a crystal substance that tested positive for methamphetamine. Stephanie Jones, 47, of Corning, acknowledged ownership of the substance and was taken into custody. She was subsequently transported to the Clay Detention Center and is currently pending a bond hearing. Ms. Jones has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, schedule 1, less than 2 grams, in accordance with code 5-64-419.
