Terry Carroll Heard 76, of Hoxie passed away May 30, 2026, at his residence.
Born December 19, 1949, in Walnut Ridge to the late Joseph and Grace Ellen Lamb Heard.
Terry had a positive attitude, he never met a stranger, loved to talk, tell jokes, and never spoke foul of anyone. He was a hard worker and skilled Barber. His 1st job was working for the family business cleaning catfish at Heards Market. He started his Barber career working at Floyds Barber and then onto Whiteway Barber in Walnut Ridge, where he retired as owner and operator. The more you talked to him the shorter your hair cut became. In his free time, he enjoyed pond and ditch fishing, working on lawnmowers and doing yardwork.
Preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Colton Bennett; two nephews, Rob Heard and Kyle Heard; and one niece, Darlene Pickney.
Survivors include his daughter, Candice (Candy) Bennett of Walnut Ridge; one granddaughter, Cassie Bennett of Walnut Ridge; three brothers, Bob (Shirley) Heard of Hoxie, Ted (Dyan) Heard of Walnut Ridge, and Joe (Babs) Heard of Benton; two sisters, Dr. Linda Heard of Hot Springs, and Marsha (Morris) Moore of Walnut Ridge; several nieces and nephews; many relatives and friends.
Memorial Service will be Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 11 A.M. in the Bryan Chapel in Hoxie with Richard Combs officiating.
Visitation will be Saturday morning from 10 A.M. till 11 A.M. in the Bryan Chapel.
Interment of his cremains will be in Manning #1 Cemetery at a later date.
In Lieu of flowers, donations to be made to the Manning #1 family cemetery.
