On Friday May 8th, 2026, at approximately 8:20P.M. the Clay County Sheriff’s Dept. went to 1100 North First Street in Datto to conduct a search. The Occupants were on parole and had Suspended Imposition Search Waiver on file.
During the search deputies found a glass plate covered in a white powder that they were told was rat poison.
A field test was done on the plate, and it showed positive to be Meth. As deputies were discussing the test, 58yr. old Dennis Dale Williams quickly grabbed the plate, and washed it off in the sink.
Deputies continued the search and found numerous other items. Mr. Williams was taken into custody and transported to the Clay County Detention Center. He was booked in on the following charges: Possession of SCH I Or II GT 10GM but LT 200GM, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Tampering with Physical Evidence- Obstruct Prosecution.
