Howell County Sheriff made a post this morning on a group walking alongside highway between Pomona and West Plains, Mo. carrying crosses and urges travelers to use caution.
This is done each year. It is representing Jesus carrying His cross to Calvary.

There is a large group from our community carrying crosses from Pomona to downtown West Plains. We have a Howell County Sheriff’s Office Deputy at the rear of the procession proving a warning to traffic in the area.
Please use caution if you are planning to be traveling on U.S. Highway 63 between Pomona and West Plains in the next couple of hours. Later this morning the group will be traversing the streets of West Plains as they make their way to the Courthouse.
