A jury in Lawrence County today found Courtney Green (aka Courtney Green-Bagwell) guilty on the charges of Rape and Sexual Indecency With A Child.
Green was sentenced to 300 months for the offense of Rape Of A Victim Less Than 14 Years Old and 72 months for the charge of Sexual Indecency With A Child.
Green was booked into the Lawrence County Detention Center and will be transferred to the Arkansas Department of Corrections. Green also has lifetime no contact with the victim.
Green’s co-defendant Brandon Allen Leonard was sentenced to 35 years for his part in the rape and sexual assault of a 6 year old child. Leonard was brought back to Lawrence County to testify against Green.
The third adult in the video, identified as Casey Matthews was never charged.

Anonymous Letter Leads To Rape Charges Involving A Child
Three adults are at the center of an investigation in Lawrence County after an anonymous letter is received containing an SD card.
In October 2024, Sheriff Waldrupe of the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office received an anonymous letter containing an SD (digital media) card.
The letter stating while going through personal possession from a time they were a drug addict, the anonymous sender came across the SD card and discovered disturbing images, the sender thought this should be investigated.
The card contained digital images and video of two adult females, one adult male and a child. The images included sex acts between the 3 adults where a child was present. Two of the adults were engaging in various sexual acts with a female child who appeared to be approximately 7-8 years of age.
An investigation was launched to attempt to identify all parties in the images and video. During the video both the child and one adult female were mentioned by name.
Through multiple searches including social media, tracers and jail booking photos the adult male was identified as Brandon Allen Leonard of Jonesboro (formerly of Lawrence County) he was charged with 22 charges in March 2025 for his involvement and is currently incarcerated. Leonard has a trial date upcoming in August 2025.
One of the females in the video was identified in the same manner as Courtney Hope Green (aka Courtney Green-Bagwell) of Hoxie.
The third adult seen in the video is identified as Casey Matthews according to court documents. No word on charges for Casey Matthews at this time.
The female victim was identified and found to be living in Florida with a family member. The victim has undergone several forensic interviews according to court records.
During the investigation and interviews, Green-Bagwell stated at the time of the incidents in question, she was living with both Leonard and Matthews in Walnut Ridge and was in a relationship with both. Green-Bagwell stated she remembered Leonard making videos but claimed she was high a lot during this time.
The child victim stated that Leonard threatened to harm family members if she reported the incidents, she also reported that Green-Bagwell threatened her as well, saying she would have Leonard “kill her entire family”.
NOTE: In the court documents, during the interview the victim stated she reported the incidents to her mother at the time they happened but her mother told her she was lying therefore it was never reported to authorities.
All the information gathered by investigators from Lawrence County was reported to the Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children Division.
A warrant for Courtney Hope Bagwell (aka Courtney Hope Green, Courtney Green-Bagwell) was issued on July 18th 2025. Courtney Green-Bagwell is charged with Sexually Grooming A Child, Sexual Indecency With A Child and Rape. Green-Bagwell was issued a $100,000 bond, issued a no-contact order and given a September court date.
