Thomas Ray Rush was arrested on charges that stem from a February 2026 incident investigated by the Walnut Ridge Police Department.
Rush has been charged with Terroristic Threatening-1st Degree and Terroristic Threatening-2nd Degree.
Affidavit For Warrant by WRPD investigators:
On February 16, 2026, I responded to the Walnut Ridge Dental Clinic over threats that were made on February 13, 2026. Upon arrival, I spoke with victim 1 who stated that on the incident date, a patient, Thomas Rush, had arrived at the clinic for an appointment. While in the back room, another employee, victim 2, was speaking to Thomas Rush as to what was going on. Thomas Rush stated his reasonings, and as this interaction continued, Thomas Rush turned around and grabbed victim 2 by the throat and began shaking her aggressively stating that it is what he would like to do to the doctor. After that incident had settled, Thomas Rush made a statement as to if the procedure did not go well, he was going to return and begin killing people. Victim 1 attempted to remove Thomas Rush and put him in another room, at which point, victim 2 stated Thomas Rush stood up, removed a yellow pocketknife from his pocket, she noticed it was open, and Thomas Rush began walking towards her with the knife. Victim 2 stated during this interaction she felt threatened and was able to remove herself from the situation.
Rush is currently incarcerated in the LCSO Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing and court date.
