20 Year Old Charged With Sexual Assault, Admits To Discussing “Punching 14 Year Old In Stomach” To Get Rid Of Unborn Child
A Newark man has been arrested after an investigation in Independence County.
According to court documents, 20 year old TJ Mears of Newark carried on a relationship from October 2025 till February 2026 with a 14 year old female. Mears admitted to investigators that he had engaged in sexual intercourse between 10-20 times, the underage female became pregnant during this time.
Phone records show where Mears allegedly discussed “getting rid of the baby” in text, even going as far as to say he had suggested to the female “punching her in the stomach to get rid of the baby”

Mears was arrested and charged in Independence County with Sexual Assault 4th Degree, a Class D felony.
