Dickie Earl Mitchell of Imboden was arrested after a search warrant on his residence on Kentucky Street in Imboden yielded drugs and weapons.

Mitchell was on bond for similar charges from October 2025 where he and two others were charged after a Probation/Parole check yielded drugs and weapons in the home.

Possession Of A Controlled Substance Sch. VI (greater than 4oz less than 10 lbs)
Possession Of A Controlled Substance Sch. I & II (greater than 2 grams, less than 10 grams)

Mitchell was arrested a third time after a February 24th search warrant yielded more drugs and weapons at the Kentucky Street Imboden address.

Possession Of Meth/Heroin/Cocaine with purpose to deliver
Possession with purpose to deliver Sch. VI
Habitual Offender
Mitchell is currently incarcerated in the Lawrence County Detention Center.

A total of three people have been arrested after authorities found guns and drugs at a residence on Kentucky Street in Imboden.
On Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025, a probation and parole compliance check was conducted at a residence on North Kentucky Street.
Stevphen and Brandy Mitchell, both on active supervised probation were in the residence. Both subjects having search waivers on file as a condition of their probation/parole.
During the search of a bedroom, authorities discovered a bag of white crystalline substance.
Authorities were told it was a community bedroom, and everyone was in and out of his room by one of the subjects. The residence was secured until a warrant was obtained which was received by email at around 7:30 PM.
A third person at the same address identified as Dickie Mitchell, arrived at the home during the search.
Authorities discovered several firearms including rifles and shotguns along with several items of drug paraphernalia in various rooms including inside a locked safe.
Authorities noted finding needles, baggies, additional crystal substances, digital scales, and cash totaling several thousand dollars.
All three suspects are convicted felons and are prohibited from possessing firearms.
Charges in the investigation included Simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, a Class Y felony, Maintaining drug premises within 1000 feet of a drug-free zone, a Class B felony, Possession of meth/cocaine with the purpose to deliver, greater than 10 grams but less than 200 grams, a Class A felony, Possession of a firearm by certain persons, a Class B felony, Possession of a controlled substance, sch I or II not meth or cocaine, with the purpose to deliver, a Class C felony, Possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class D felony along with Habitual offender enhancements.
Bail for Stevphen and Brandy was set at $100,000 cash or surety. Bail for Dickie Mitchell was set $75,000 cash or surety.

Dickie Earl Mitchell, age 70 of Imboden was arrested and booked into the Sharp County Detention Center on Tuesday February 24th, 2026.
