Teresa “Joyce” Cox, 77 of Ravenden Springs, departed this life Sunday, February 15, 2026 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro surrounded by her loving family.
Joyce was born on January 12, 1949, in Osceola to the late Harold Cook and Lillian Nichols Cook. She was a faithful member of the Ravenden Springs Church of Christ and also attended the Bethany Church of Christ. Joyce was a proud graduate of Keiser High School, Class of 1966. After graduation, she attended Bandy Business School.
In March of 1967, she married Harold “Buck” Campbell, and together they were blessed with three precious children before his passing in 1977. In 1987, she met Harold Cox, the love of her life, and they were united in marriage on July 14, 1989. Through their union, she lovingly welcomed three additional children into her heart and home.
Throughout her life, Joyce was deeply devoted to her community and, more than anything, she loved people. She never met a stranger and cherished gatherings of any kind — whether it was a family get-together, a church function, or a town celebration. She loved traveling, attending community events, and being wherever something was happening. She especially enjoyed yard saling, always on the lookout for a good bargain and an even better conversation.
Joyce taught BRAD Head Start for several years and served in multiple roles for the City of Ravenden Springs. She took great pride in supporting local schools and community activities and could often be found at ballgames, school events, and town gatherings. She especially enjoyed organizing school dances and helping coordinate the Ravenden Springs Fourth of July celebrations, pouring her heart into every event she touched.
Her greatest joy, however, was her family. She never missed a grandchild’s function and was their biggest supporter, faithfully showing up for ballgames, school programs, and every milestone in between. When she wasn’t spending time with her children and grandchildren, she could often be found causing a little ruckus with her best friends, Chatty and Sharon, making memories and sharing plenty of laughter.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Lillian Nichols Cook, husbands, Harold ‘Buck’ Campbell and Harold Cox, and sisters, Linda Cartwright and Patricia Owens.
