The 16th Judicial Drug Task Force announced the seizure of a large quantity of illegal prescription drugs and suspected fentanyl.
Two women from Batesville have been arrested and charged in the ongoing investigation.
Venus Donahue, age 56 of Batesville was arrested and charged with (6) Class Y Felonies for trafficking and (1) count of maintaining a drug premise, a Class C Felony.
Susan Martin, age 62 of Batesville was arrested and charged with (2) counts of trafficking, Class Y Felonies and (1) count of possession of methamphetamine, Class D Felony.
Both are incarcerated in the Independence County Jail.
The investigation is ongoing.
