Two juveniles have been charged in the Izard County Circuit Court, Juvenile Division, with a total of 49 offenses related to vehicle thefts, burglaries, and other thefts reported in Horseshoe Bend since July 2025. This investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges against other individuals may be forthcoming.
Sheriff Melton stated, “The recent vehicle thefts, vehicle burglaries, and other thefts in Horseshoe Bend over the past several months have been troubling. I am proud of my staff for their continued dedication and hard work to ensure those responsible are held accountable.”
He also noted that “Investigator Sean Tomlinson dedicated many hours to these investigations. Some cases involved very limited evidence, while others included video footage where the suspects’ identities were obscured. Often, the public is unaware of the extensive work required to solve cases due to the limited information that can be released in order to protect the integrity of an ongoing investigation.”
