Department will complete remaining work over the weekend to better serve customers Monday

LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas (January 29, 2026) – The Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) today announced late fees will be waived for all vehicle registrations that expired this week. This waiver will apply to any vehicle that is renewed by Friday, February 6.  It ensures Arkansans do not pay a penalty for expiration this week, when state offices were closed due to weather. In addition, DFA will extend the hours of several Revenue Offices next week. The following offices will remain open until 6 p.m. each day: Van Buren, Fayetteville, Bentonville, Springdale, Fort Smith East, Jonesboro, Paragould,

Batesville, Mountain Home, Cabot, White Hall, Pine Bluff, West Memphis, Monticello, Texarkana, Benton, Hot Springs Albert Pike, El Dorado, West Little Rock, Conway, Sherwood, Searcy, and Russellville (open 6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Friday).

“In addition to waived fees and extended hours, DFA employees will work this weekend to clear any backlog from online transactions submitted this week,” said DFA Secretary Jim Hudson. “This will increase the availability of employees to address immediate customer needs when Revenue Offices open Monday morning. We know many Arkansans will be visiting our offices, and we will be prepared to serve them. We remain committed to providing a great customer experience in every state Revenue Office.”

Arkansans now have the option of making an appointment for Revenue Office services. With an appointment, a DFA agent knows the reason for the visit, and is prepared at that time to complete it, eliminating unnecessary waiting. Tens of thousands of appointments have been completed since the program was launched in 2025.

A wide variety of Revenue Office services may be completed online anytime. Examples include ordering a duplicate driver’s license, renewing vehicle registration, ordering a personalized license plate and checking the status of a title.
