On January 23, 2026, officers with the Corning Police Department were dispatched to the Arisa Health facility.

Officers took a report from the Arisa staff stating that a resident in the facility had become aggressive and threatened staff and patients, stating he would kill them.

38-year-old Erik Gonzalez of Springdale was arrested and transported to the Clay County Detention Center and booked on the charge of § 5-13-301 – Terroristic threatening, a class D felony. On January 24, 2026, Clay County District Judge Curtis Hitt found probable cause to charge Mr. Gonzalez, and his bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety bond.
