The Arkansas State released its Fatal Crash Report on Monday’s fatal accident that occurred on the Black River Bridge in Black Rock.
According to the ASP report, George Koettel, age 42 of Imboden, was killed when the vehicle he was in, a 2000 Mercury lost control, crossed the centerline and struck a 1997 Ford Truck injuring 51 year old Randy Tribble of Pocahontas.
Black Rock Fire, Imboden Fire, Walnut Ridge Fire, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies, Arkansas State Police and Black Rock Police all assisted with the accident.
Road conditions were reported as dry, weather was reported as cloudy.
The accident was investigated by the Arkansas State Police.
