Dewell Monroe Tillman, 90, a long time resident of Walnut Ridge, died at Flo and Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro on Sunday, December 21, 2025.

He was born in Walnut Ridge on February 27, 1935 to Max and Eunice Gill Tillman.  He married Linda “Katie” Waldrupe on June 4, 2005.  Dewell was a farmer and drove a bulldozer. In fact, he probably bulldozed most of Lawrence county and neighboring counties. A few of his favorites were farming, his dog, Sam, bulldozing, and family.  He really loved for his family to get together.  Dewell also love to restore old cars and trucks.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend and he will be greatly missed.

Preceding him in death are his parents and one brother: Tom Tillman.

Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Katie Tillman of the home; daughters: Joan, Gail, and Dee(Price); daughter: Kim(Shane); son: Chris(Ginger); son: Andy(Meridith); brothers: Joe(Thomy) and Sheldon; 15 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 26, 2025 from 10:30 until 12 noon with the funeral following at noon at the chapel of House-Gregg Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Lawrence Memorial Park.  Bob McNeal and Robert Cook will be officiating.  House-Gregg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
