Gooey Butter Cookies are an easy, soft cookie great for holiday cookie boxes or to enjoy with a cup of coffee in the morning.
Mix cream cheese, butter, and cake mix. Then mix in egg and vanilla.
Chill dough for 30 minutes.
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 package cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup butter, softened
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 package yellow butter cake mix
Place powdered sugar in a separate bowl.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Roll chilled dough into balls then roll mixture in powdered sugar and place into baking sheet.
Bake for 12 minutes.
Allow to cool.
