Helen Jean Foley, 95 formerly of Walnut Ridge, departed this life on Sunday, November 23, 2025, in Willowbend Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Marion. She leaves a lifetime of loving her family, caring for others, and serving her Lord.
She was born November 16, 1930, in a small community between Pocahontas and Walnut Ridge to the late Page and Flora (Austin) Hackworth. Helen was united in marriage to D.S. “Rosie” Foley on February 14, 1948. Helen was a graduate of Walnut Ridge High School in 1947. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge, AR since 1956, holding many positions there, including teaching Sunbeams, G.A.’s, Sunday School, serving as church clerk, choir member for 30+ years and a member of the Women’s Missionary Union for 50+ years. She served on numerous committees, assisted with birthday parties at the nursing home as well as working for Farm Service Inc. for 27 years beginning in 1966 until retiring in 1993, along with several other occupations such as office manager of a pants factory, working for the Arkansas Welfare Department, and Foley Lumber Company.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her brother, Hulen Hackworth; her son, John Harrison Foley; and an infant grandson, Jason Allen Foley.
Survivors include her daughter, Stacy (David) McNutt of West Memphis; four grandchildren, Shane (Megan) Foley of Imboden, Heather McNutt (Daniel) Saylor of Rogers, Danielle Foley (Nick) Smith of Hurricane, WV, and Cody (Sally) McNutt of Covington, GA; eight great grandchildren, Colby Clark, Chloe Foley, Lillian Foley, Laine Elizabeth McNutt, Elise Marie McNutt, Anna Claire McNutt, Brynna Katherine McNutt, and Paige Elizabeth Saylor; several great-great grandchildren; special friends, Norma Davis, and Bob and Dolores Magee; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge. Interment will follow in the Lawrence Memorial Park in Walnut Ridge.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10 AM until the time of service.
