I, Chris Jones, am announcing my intent to seek re-election for the Sloan-Hendrix School Board, Position 1.
I am asking for your vote and support as I seek a second term. I am a class of 1991 graduate, having grown up in a family committed to education and community. My daughters, Autumn and Lauren, are fifth generation Sloan-Hendrix graduates from the Weir, Stewart and Jones family. Mikka, my wife of 23 years, is employed as a nurse at S-H.
It is important to me that we keep the education and well-being of each student and their families at the forefront of our decisions.
My professional career which spans 30 plus years in Fire services, Office of Emergency Management. Town of Imboden Mayor and the Lawrence Memorial Hospital Board of Governors has prepared me for money management, being receptive to new ideas, understanding parents, faculty, staff and the community and a most critical issue of school safety.
Board members working together share in the evolving educational needs, to create an environment where students, parents, and community feel welcome.
I am currently serving as president of the S-H School Board and am proud of our accomplishments. I ask to be re-elected to continue to represent the voices of parents, students, and the community in meeting local educational needs and goals.
