As the search continues for Jacob Lowell Smith, here’s what authorities are saying.

As part of the search for Smith who is wanted for Absconding and questioning in a Fulton County double homicide that occurred near Agnos.

On Oct. 22nd, Arkansas State Police, U.S. Marshals Service and Mountain Home Police, Baxter County and Fulton County Sheriff officers executed a search warrant at an apartment complex on Hwy 201-North, outside of Mountain Home with the purpose of the warrant to apprehend Jacob Lowell Smith and to search for any evidence related to a double homicide in Fulton County.

Jacob Lowell Smith has been identified by authorities as a person of interest in the Fulton County double homicide discovered on Oct. 21st.

Authorities learned Smith had been living at the apartment and investigators began trying to track his exact location.

The Fulton County Sheriff now says the suspect  “would not likely cooperate with law enforcement, and if he had any involvement in the murders, would most likely flee if questioned.”

Authorities were notified of the victims discovered on Oct. 21st, however, authorities now believe the crime had been committed days prior.

Authorities are investigating several possible leads on Smith’s location.

Fulton County authorities say the derails surrounding Smith’s movements are investigative in nature and cannot be discussed at this time but authorities do believe at this point Smith is aware of his absconder warrant and being named a person of interest in the double homicide but did not elaborate further.
