Carl Lavern Carrithers, 72 of Walnut Ridge passed away on October 17, 2025, in Jonesboro at the St. Bernards Medical Center.

Born May 22, 1953, in Imboden he was the son of the late Darrell and Frances Dunham Carrithers. His work ethic was amazing, working for the city of Pocahontas for 28 years, 13 of which he never missed a day of work while cutting firewood in his spare time. He enjoyed fishing, collecting wrestlers, being outdoors, and gardening. He was united in marriage to Glenda Young on November 19, 2002. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by one brother, Richard Byrley; one sister, Lou Ann Lawrence; a niece, Amanda Byrley; and a nephew, Brad Miller.

Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Glenda of the home; one brother, Darrell Carrithers of Princeton, IN; six sisters, Loretta Buck of AL, Cynthia Bartley of Petersburg, IN, Kathy (Danny) Peoples of Maynard, Paula (David) Byrley of Fairdealing, MO, Rebecca (Jeff) Nesbit of Piggott, and Alice Miller of Ravenden; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 12:00 PM in the Bryan Chapel with Bro. Lloyd Simons officiating. Pallbearers will be Bryan Carrithers, Darrell Carrithers, Jeff Nesbit, Terry Helser, Angela Byrley, Haley Peoples, and David Rainbolt. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Peoples and Darrell Young. Interment will follow in the Randolph Memorial Gardens in Pocahontas.

Visitation Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
