Authorities in Mountain Home arrested a woman following an investigation into alleged illegal activity at a local massage business.

Lihua Yu, age 55 was arrested and charged with felony criminal use of property or laundering criminal proceeds and promoting prostitution in the second degree, a Class A misdemeanor.

The Mountain Home Police Department began investigating after receiving numerous complaints about sexual activity at Asian Sunny Massage.

On October 2, an undercover officer posing as a customer visited the business and purchased a 30-minute massage.

Following the session, the officer engaged Yu in a conversation about sexual favors, during which the two exchanged messages through an app on Yu’s phone and agreed on $100 for a sexual act.

The undercover officer left before any act occurred.

Police returned and executed a search warrant at the business on October 16, seizing several checkbooks tied to different accounts, cash, credit card receipts, handwritten ledgers, and two cell phones.

Homeland Security investigators later discovered the phone number used by Yu was connected to more than 1,300 adult escort websites.

Yu was taken into custody and booked into the Baxter County Detention Center. She is scheduled to appear in court on Monday October 20th, bond was set at $10,000.
