The Arkansas State Police released it’s fatal crash report on yesterday’s fatal Greene County crash.
According to the ASP, three people were killed in the accident. Those victims were identified as Sherry Felty age 52 of Paragould, listed as a passenger in a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe. Duane Smith Jr. age 40 of Jonesboro, listed as the driver of the 2020 Jeep Renegade. Christine Sta Ana, age 31 of Jonesboro, listed as a passenger in the 2020 Jeep Renegade.
Listed as injured were, Bruce Owens, 49 of Paragould, listed as the driver of the 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe and a minor child (age not listed), a passenger in the 2020 Jeep Renegade.
According to the report, the 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe was westbound on Hwy 412 behind a 2025 Freightliner.
An eastbound 2020 Jeep Renegade was in the inside lane of eastbound traffic.
The 2008 Hyundai passed the 2025 Freightliner and crossed over the center turning lane and into oncoming eastbound traffic. As the 2008 Hyundai came back across the lanes it struck the front of the eastbound 2020 Jeep Renegade.
The 2025 Freightliner then struck wreckage in the roadway.
The accident occurred at 4:35pm, road conditions were clear/dry according to the ASP report.
