Kendra Jo “Morgan” Sloan, 64, of Smithville, entered into her heavenly home on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on November 9, 1960, in Walnut Ridge to Billy Jo and Leona “Durene” (Smith) Morgan. She was united in marriage to Michael Sloan on March 26, 2011, in Eaton. Kendra spent her lifetime employed at Robert Bosch Tool Corporation in Walnut Ridge, where she retired. She was a member of the Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Lynn. She was an avid horseback rider and was lovingly known for spoiling her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Jo Morgan; her maternal and paternal grandparents; twin brothers, Danny and Ranny Morgan; and sister, Cynda Gramling.
Kendra is survived by her husband, Michael Alan Sloan of the home; her mother, Durene Richmond of Lynn; children, Pasha Davis of Lynn, Cody Robins of the home; Nathan Sloan (Vicky) of Florence Mississippi, and Trever Sloan of Mountain Home; her brother, Tim Morgan (Rebecca) of Powhatan; her cousin who was like a sister, Lisa Fulbright; grandchildren, Marissa Murphy, Eli Murphy, Kourtney Robins, and Sarah Sloan; great-granddaughter, Haylan Murphy; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church in Denton, with funeral services immediately following at 1 p.m. David Smith Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dry Creek Cemetery in Lynn under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jeff Vance, David Smith, Mark Eaton, Chris Nichols, Gary Blackburn, and James Forrester.
Honorary pallbearers are Ryan Morgan, Jeremy Chesser, Billy Gramling, and Denny Smith.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Justin Sloan Durham Scholarship Fund in 1156 Hwy 115, Smithville, Arkansas, 72466 and the American Cancer Society.
