The Williams Baptist University women’s basketball team has announced its 2025-26 schedule, featuring 12 home games inside the Southerland-Mabee Center.
“I am excited to get the season started,” said WBU head coach John Mayberry. “We have a great mix of returners and some new faces to build on the success we have had over the last few seasons. We play a pretty challenging non-conference schedule, especially on the road. I hope we can stay healthy and be in the mix at the end of the season.”
The 2025-26 season will begin on Oct. 28 when the Lady Eagles face former American Midwest Conference foe Missouri Baptist at home for the first time as a non-conference opponent. Williams will then turn around to face the University of the Ozarks for Homecoming on Nov. 1 inside the Southerland-Mabee Center.
Next, Williams will travel to face Saint Mary on Nov. 6, then face another former AMC opponent in William Woods on Nov. 8 before returning home on Nov. 15 to take on Arkansas Baptist.
The Lady Eagles will travel to take on Oklahoma City on Nov. 25 before beginning conference play on the road at Cottey on Dec. 1. Next, WBU will travel to Columbia for a rematch of the 2025 AMC Tournament Championship on Dec. 3. Williams will conclude the month of December by finishing up non-conference play on the road against Fisk (Dec. 29) and Bryan (Dec. 31).
WBU will begin the new year at home against Crowley’s Ridge on Jan. 6 before taking on Stephens (Jan. 8) and UHSP (Jan. 10) later in the week. The Lady Eagles will face Harris-Stowe (Jan. 15), Mission (Jan. 17), and Central Baptist (Jan. 22) on the road before returning to the Southerland-Mabee Center to take on Hannibal-LaGrange (Jan. 24), and welcome in return trips from Cottey (Jan. 29) and Columbia (Jan. 31).
