At 5:37pm on Tuesday the Lawrence County E-911 Dispatch received a report of a male victim with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies, MedicOne Ambulance, Strawberry Fire Department and Lynn Fire Department were all dispatched to the area at the end of Lawrence Road 292 near the Strawberry River. A medical helicopter was placed on standby as well.
Once on scene, the victim was confirmed deceased. Lawrence County Sheriff’s CID was requested along with the Lawrence County Coroner.
No names have been released by authorities at this time.
