Authorities report on Sept. 8th, officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and Salem Police Department responded to an area near Asher Road and Hwy 395-North, six miles north of Salem in regard to a domestic disturbance.
Officers discovered a male and female who appeared under the influence and with blood on them. The female subject was taken into custody and when officers attempted to arrest the male subject, he fought the officers.
The male suspect, Ronald Lee Adams attacked one of the officers causing injuries to the officers head, then started choking the officer preventing the officer from breathing.
Other officers on scene were able to remove him from the officer, when Adams then began fighting those officers, biting and wrestling them.
Adams was subdued and taken into custody where he was then transported to the Fulton County Detention Center.
While at the Detention Center Adams again fought the officers and staff of the facility until he was again subdued and placed in a holding cell. He has been charged with multiple felony charges including; aggravated assault, 2nd degree battery, terroristic threatening, 3rd degree domestic battery, resisting arrest, public intox, unauthorized use of vehicle and habitual offender.
Adams is being held in the Fulton County Detention Center on $100,000 bond.
