The Northeast Arkansas Regional Archives (NEARA) in collaboration with Powhatan State Historic Park is hosting its annual symposium from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Saturday, Sept.20, 2025, at the Methodist Church in Powhatan Historic State Park.

This year’s topic is This Old Place: The History of Local Landmarks in Northeast Arkansas and will focus on architectural landmarks that are part of Arkansas State Parks. Speakers include Zachary Elledge, park interpreter at Powhatan Historic State Park; Angela Gibbs, park curator at Jacksonport State Park; and Bonnie Marberry, park interpreter at Davidsonville Historic State Park.

The event is free to attend. Refreshments will be provided.
