On August 21, 2025, at approximately 12:10 PM, Sharp County Sheriff Shane Russell was contacted by the United States Marshals Service regarding a subject identified as Mickey Ahititt Naphoxay.
The US Marshals advised that Naphoxay was wanted out of Union, South Carolina, on an attempted murder charge stemming from 2022.
The Marshals further stated that it was believed Naphoxay was hiding in a camper located in the Ozark Acres area.
At approximately 1:40 PM, Naphoxay was taken into custody and booked into the Sharp County Detention Center, where he is being held pending extradition to South Carolina.
