At 2:05pm on Tuesday, the Lawrence County Dispatch Center received a 911 call from a construction site (Poultry Building) in the 400 block of Lawrence 131-S between Imboden and Smithville reporting a worker had a generator dropped on him and was injured.
Imboden Fire and MedicOne ambulance responded to the scene. Others on the scene were able to remove the generator off the victim but reported his injuries to be serious.
Two different medical helicopters were requested but declined due to weather in the area Tuesday afternoon.
Imboden Fire assisted MedicOne with preparing the patient for transport, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted with escorting the ambulance.
No names have been released.
