Terry Dewayne Puckett, 76, of Imboden, passed away on July 10, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 16, 1948 in Walnut Ridge to Claude “Babe” Puckett and Daisy Jones Puckett.
Terry was a proud United States Army veteran, serving two tours in the Vietnam War. During his military career, he served as a telephone lineman and sniper, setting up communication lines and ensuring the safety of his comrades. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed spending his time fishing, working on cars, he had an immense love for music and drag racing. He found peace spending time outdoors and enjoying life’s simple pleasures, like working in his yard or BBQing with a beer in his hand. Above everything, Terry loved his family and cherished being a dad and “Papa” to his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his infant son, Terry Dewayne Puckett, Jr.; son, Terry Dean Puckett; brother, Gerald Dean Puckett; and stepbrothers, James Bice, Judd Bice, Glen Bice, and Bill Bice.
He is survived by his loving wife, Diane Puckett of the home; daughters, Vickie Junkersfeld (William) of Imboden, Dianna Griffin (Chris) of Imboden, Paula Griffin (Seth) of Ravenden, and Emma Tribble-Shepard of the home; brothers, James Puckett (Angie) of Jonesboro, Claude Puckett, Jr. (Patsy) of Lake City, and Billy Clark of Imboden; sisters, Mary Puckett of Brookland, Peggy Sutton of Walnut Ridge, and Elizabeth Jennings of Jonesboro; stepbrothers, Jerry Bice (Leta) of Imboden and Fred Bice of Mulberry; stepsister, Debbie Tribble of Imboden; 12 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A celebration of life, officiated by Bro. Willie Wilbanks, will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. on the James Ranch Event Center grounds in Pocahontas (at the stage area near the river.) A reception will follow the service.
