At 6:08pm on Saturday, Lawrence County E-911 received a report of a side by side accident on Lawrence 100 near Lawrence 1190 outside Ravenden.
Ravenden Fire and MedicOne ambulance were dispatched to the scene.
The patients were checked out by medics at the scene, no one was transported. First responders on scene requested a deputy be dispatched to the scene suspecting the driver of the UTV was intoxicated.
Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived on scene at 6:58pm and conducted field sobriety.
Officers noted open alcohol containers inside the UTV.
The female driver was then detained on suspicion of DUI and transported to the Ravenden PD for a BAC (Blood Alcohol Concentration) test.
The driver was cited and turned over to a family member.
No names have been released by authorities.
The UTV was towed from the scene by Dail’s Wrecker Service of Ravenden.
