Authorities say Fulton County man is facing charges from a pursuit that covered two counties with speeds reaching over 100 mph.
William Brandon Hill age 46 of Viola is charged with five charges in the incident.
Court documents say a Howell County Missouri Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched for a careless driver near Missouri State Highway JJ and Howell County Road 8936 on June 27th.
The deputy saw a vehicle matching the description traveling at a high rate of speed on Highway JJ.
The deputy clocked the vehicle on radar at 81 mph in a 55 miles-per-hour zone. The deputy activated his emergency lights and siren, but Hill fled at speeds over 100 miles-per-hour.
The pursuit continued across the Arkansas/Missouri state line into Fulton County Arkansas on Sturkie Road where Hill tried to get the deputy to rear end him by braking abruptly.
The chase ended when Hill failed to negotiate a turn and ran off the road.
The deputy used his vehicle to pin Hill’s vehicle so he couldn’t escape.
Authorities discovered a loaded shotgun in the passenger seat along with open containers of alcohol. Hill told the deputy he did not pull over because he did not have a driver’s license. Hill’s license was currently suspended.
Hill was taken to the Fulton County Jail. He was extradited to the Howell County Jail Monday.
Hill is charged with a felony count of resisting arrest by fleeing creating a substantial risk of death or injury, along with misdemeanor counts of driving while revoked, speeding, careless and imprudent driving and failure to maintain the right half of the roadway.
Hill was released after posting $25,000 bond.
