The City of Imboden released the following ordinance from 2017 reminding residents of the times and dates that fireworks may be lawfully used within the city limits.

ORDINANCE NO.2017-10

AN ORDINANCE TO REGULATE FIREWORKS WITHIN THE CITY OF IMBODEN, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IMBODEN, ARKANSAS:

SECTION 1:It shall be unlawful for any person or entity to ignite or discharge fireworks within the city limits of the City of Imboden, at any other date or time than within the following dates and times: beginning June 27 -July 6, between the hours of 10am through 10:00 pm with the exception of the 4th of July which shall be between the hours of 10am-1030pm.

Also, December 23 – January 2 10am through 8:00 pm with the exception of December 31 – January 1 which shall be between 12pm through 1230am.

SECTION 2:A violation of Section 1 of this Ordinance is hereby declared to be a misdemeanor and any person found guilty of violation the Ordinance may be fined in an amount not to exceed Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for each violation.

SECTION 3:All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed

SECTION 4:It being found by the City Council that legislation and this Ordinance is necessary for the preservation of public peace, health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the City, this Ordinance shall take immediate effect from and after it passage, approval and publication.
