Betty Jean Phillips, 94 of Walnut Ridge, died Tuesday, June 3, 2025, in the St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro. 

Born August 12, 1930, in Monette, daughter of the late Shelton Fox and Nora Norsworthy Lewis. Betty was united in marriage to Carl Phillips on August 9, 1947. They both worked together running the family farm; and she really enjoyed bookkeeping, playing bridge, and spending time with her family. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl; and two daughters, Kathy and Tammy Phillips. 

Survivors include her son, Carl “Cap” Phillips (Cristy) of Walnut Ridge; two daughters, Carlotta Howell (Jack) of Jonesboro, and Debbie Phillips of Walnut Ridge; four grandchildren, Dr. Jacqueline Caldwell, Chad Howell, Teague Phillips, and Colin Phillips; four great grandchildren, Haiden, Ella, Presley, and Olivia; and many other relatives and friends.

Service was June 8, 2025, in the Jonesboro Memorial Park with Bro. Jake Guenrich officiating. 

Memorials in honor of Mrs. Betty maybe made to the Red Cross, or First Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge.
