Authorities report a man from Sharp County has been arrested on three counts of fentanyl trafficking (Felony).
Agents with the 16th Judicial District Drug Task Force, Independence County Sheriff’s Office and the Sharp County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation after receiving information that Billy R. Burge Jr., age 43, of Sidney, was allegedly dealing large amounts of fentanyl and other controlled substances.
Investigators used a confidential informant to purchase fentanyl from Burge on three separate occasions in Independence County, according to court documents.
Burge, a habitual offender, was arrested on Tuesday, he is being held in the Independence County Jail on a $200,000 bond.
