Barbara Ann Wright, age 31 of southeast Greene County, was arrested on 4/29/2025 for one count of Aggravated Animal Cruelty to a Dog, Cat, or Equine after a dog was found deceased after it had been left locked in a bedroom for a long period of time. When investigators served the search warrant and entered the home, the dog was found in the aforementioned bedroom in a very advanced state of decomposition. Judge Dan Stidham found probable cause on this case and issued a $10,000 cash only bond. Wright remains in custody here at the detention center.
