Carol Sue Brown, 80, of Ravenden, Arkansas, passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on Saturday April 26th at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

She was born on April 19, 1945.  In 1962, she married the love of her life, Willie Ray Brown, and devoted herself to raising their family. Carol was a homemaker for many years before joining the housekeeping department at Randolph Home in Pocahontas, where she worked faithfully until her retirement.

After Willie’s passing, Carol continued to serve others in her loving compassionate way, often being called upon to care for elderly members of the community. Her heart for service was matched by her talent in the kitchen. Her homemade pies and hot rolls were legendary, and her cooking brought comfort and joy to many.

Carol was a devoted member of the Ravenden Church of Christ and was deeply rooted in her faith, drawing strength and purpose from her church family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Ray Brown; her mother, Flossie Pollard; her stepfather, Enos Pollard; her father, Louis Weber; and her sister, Betty Johnson. 

She is survived by her children: Kathy Walker (Scott) of Ravenden, Ernest Brown (Amorette) of Walnut Ridge, and Kelly Key (John) of Arnold, Missouri. Carol was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren: Cassandra (Mike) Box, Tara Starling, Melissa (Diego) Bravo, Tonya (Gary) Riney, Justin (Janet) Alderson, Tiffany (Daniel) Back, Jeremy (Allison) Brown, and Max Eaton; three step grandchildren: Amy, Ryan (Sami), and Dana as well as eight great-grandchildren: Macy, Peyton, Lily, Eli, Hannah, Blakely, Mia, and Lois.

Carol is also survived by her sisters, Wilma Guiltner (Glennis) and Connie Lindley, her brother, Frank Stidham; and many other cherished relatives, friends, and community members.

Her warmth, generosity, and kindness touched countless lives, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be Monday, April 28, 2025 from 5-7 PM at McNabb Funeral Home in Pocahontas, AR.  Funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at 10 AM at the Ravenden Church of Christ with Bryan Keller officiating.  Burial will follow in Opposition Cemetery in Ravenden, AR.

Pallbearers are Shane Wells, Stetson Wells, Seth Wells, Johnny Snyder, David Campbell, and Diego Bravo.
