In February, the Jonesboro Police Department ICAC Division received a cyber tip about child sexual abuse material uploaded to a Dropbox account. After a search warrant was issued, Dropbox provided the account information and all media. In that media, detectives uncovered 134 images of small children in various stages of dress, and 39 of that number are images of juvenile females engaged in sexual acts.

During the investigation, it was determined that the images were uploaded from a Jonesboro residence. A search warrant was executed on 4-14-25 by the ICAC Detectives and Street Crimes Unit at a home on Murray Creek Drive. Officers placed Matthew Scott into custody. During an interview with Scott, he admitted to the Dropbox account being his and also stated that there would be child sexual abuse material on one of his phones. Scott also admitted to viewing the material as recently as last week. Scott was transported to CCDC and charged with Possession or Use of Child Sexual Abuse Material. He received a $50,000 bond cash surety issued by Judge Boling.
