On September 21st, Izard County Dispatch received a call for a welfare check on a female who was pregnant and may being held against her will in the Dolph area.
Upon arrival by Izard County Deputy Brent Engles, he met with a witness who stated the victim was trapped in the house. Deputy Engles then approached the porch to the house and the victim opened the window and said Dakoda Reeves would not let her out. Deputy Engles then asked the victim to open the door, and she said Dakoda would not let her. Deputy Engles called out for Dakoda to open the door in which he did.
The victim told Deputy Engles that after she had told Dakoda that she was moving out he became upset, and they started yelling and screaming back and forth. The victim said she called her mother to pick her up and Dakoda took her phone and blocked her in the house. She stated Dakoda grabbed her and would not let her go so she bit him to protect herself.
In an interview with an investigator, Dakoda was asked about the allegations to which he stated he was doing for the victim’s safety and that he placed the chair in front of the door so they could sit and talk.
As a result, Dakoda Reeves, 21 of Dolph, has been charged in the Izard County Circuit Court with domestic battery 3rd degree; a class “D” felony, and false imprisonment; a class “A” misdemeanor.
