Authorities say Chad Anthony Pfeffer, age 49, of Pocahontas man was arrested after he led police officers on a chase with speeds up to 100 miles per hour through parts of Randolph and Lawrence County.
Chad Anthony Pfeffer was charged with reckless driving and fleeing in a vehicle causing danger, according to authorities.
On Wednesday, July 6th, Pocahontas police attempted to stop Pfeffer for expired tags on a motorcycle at a parking lot, but the suspect sped off southbound on Hwy 67.
Authorities said Pfeffer reached speeds of over 100 miles per hour and at one point made a U-turn on the highway trying to avoid law enforcement, causing oncoming traffic to merge into the turning lane to avoid a collision.
The pursuit continued into Lawrence County and the Walnut Ridge area, where Pfeffer attempted to avoid authorities and drove through grassy areas off the road.
Authorities say he then laid the motorcycle down and came to a stop where officers took him into custody.
Pfeffer was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries before being transported back to the Randolph County Detention Center.
